fiddle?

[edit]

Early on, this article included the sentence:

Best known for his virtuoso fiddle playing, good-natured wit and storytelling.

This statement was then wordsmithed to be a proper sentence; then "good-natured wit and story telling" was deleted; and, then reference to both "fiddle" and "virtuoso" were removed. Since I don't frequent WP music articles, I'm not sure what criteria are used for establishing statements in this area of WP. Would the Scotsman.com and World Music Central articles (currently included in the Johnny_Cunningham#External links section) be sufficient reference resources, at least for his memorable fiddle playing? Thanks for any guidance, Larry Rosenfeld (talk) 11:45, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Prod

[edit]

I have placed a prod on this article because it was been there since 2020 and the only citation is not reliable. Allmusic.com is a user submitted content music database like IMDB. Mkdw talk 19:26, 3 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hey User:Mkdw - thanks so much for reaching out and I seriously appreciate your notification here. I hope I've addressed the concern by adding citations from the New York Times and Playbill, and by mentioning that his play, "Peter and Wendy," won the 1997 Obie Award for Best Production. Based on this, I'm going to remove the Prod tag. But, if you assess that this article still is lacking, I defer to your judgment here. Best, ~~ Larry Rosenfeld (talk) 20:39, 3 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
