I concur. Huh? On the internet I found people claiming that left-handed people always have a right-handed twin. In cases where left-handed people didn't have a twin, such a hypothetical twin would be re-absorbed in the uterus... So this statement means that a writer believed such claims to be true, and also believes them to be known universally.
However - to my knowledge - such claims were never conclusively proven, and many cases can be found that suggest the contrary: There are twins who are both left- or right-handed; and there are cases of tightly-controlled pregnancies with no twins, but the child turns out left-handed nonetheless.
P.S:, I found Twins and handedness - people have a 10% chance to be left-handed, while twins have been found to have a 17% chance. That still is no scientific evidence of anything, since a 83% chance remains that Netley was right-handed.
