Upon checking the citations for this article, I found that details for this article originate from the Spring 1978 issue of Bittersweet (Issue 19, Vol. V, No.3). The table of contents state that the magazine's article is an "Account of the only hanging in Houston, Missouri" while the article titled HANGED BY THE NECK UNTIL DEAD... DEAD... DEAD... has been "Condensed from Dying From Home And Lost". A copy of the full magazine article is reproduced in the January 30, 2012 Progress Notes by Joe Prior, President of the Miller County Museum & Historical Society along with additional supplementary information relating to the Parson Family murders. However, majority of the citations used in this article credit the Miller County Museum & Historical Society article, not Bittersweet magazine. This is inappropriate as the two sources are essentially identical, with the Bittersweet magazine article having a pre-existing copyright claim that dates from 1978, and was reasserted by the publisher in 1981. I have now updated the citations to credit the Bittersweet magazine article from 1978, while keeping the URL links the same and using the "via" option to indicate these sources are essentially two different website "reprints" of the original magazine article, but in electronic form. I have found that several newspaper sources that are not cited by this article name the subject as "Jodie Hamilton", not "Jody". The only place I can find where the latter name appears to be used is on the subject's gravestone and the associated Find a Grave reference, which is not considered a very reliable source, compared to news sources. For example: The news story EXECUTION OF JODIE HAMILTON. from Kingston Daily Freeman, Volume XXXVI, Number 55, 21 December 1906 [via HRVH Historical Newspapers from the Southeastern New York Library Resources Council] uses "Jodie" and I suspect this will be the case for many newspaper sources. Joseph "Jody" Hamilton → Joda Hamilton – To remove the nickname in quotations from the article title per WP:NICKNAME. I changed the nickname to "Joda" from "Jody" as the spelling does vary across sources, most sources appear to refer to him as "Joda", at least per the Newspapers.com database.
