I can't see what the issue was in the old version. Whatever it was it appears fixed now so I support removing the tag. Paleface Jack, I'd recommend at least using the edit summary in the future to explain what is wrong, if you don't start a conversation on the talk page about it. Have a nice day. It seems that the "Capcom 2010 and Capcom 2015 are still giving me a "Harv error: link from CITEREFCapcom2015 doesn't point to any citation.", same message appears for the one in 2010. Web citations for McMullen, Sarkeesian, and Frank are also giving me similar error messages.Paleface Jack (talk) 17:17, 12 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Damien Linnane @Paleface Jack I think this is similar to my FAC before. I implemented all "|ref=none". I thi nk I fixed it. But, if there is still error from your POV, can you place |ref=none at citation? Thanks! 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 23:09, 12 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

I found that this article stated that Julia Voth depicted Valentine in RE5 and The Umbrella Chronicles, and cited that sentence to an IGN Bahrain article and the official RE5 guidebook. However, neither of those sources actually verified the claim. I replaced them with a Kotaku source that does verify the claim, but I felt it was necessary to bring it up here since this is a Featured Article and there might be more similar mistakes or wrongly cited sources. Cheers. ArtemisiaGentileschiFan (talk) 16:10, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi ArtemisiaGentileschiFan. Thanks for pointing this out. I was very surprised to see this as I've been editing this article for more than 10 years and can't imagine how something like that could have happened. I went digging since I know I added the RE5 guidebook source. I added it on 4 September 2017 to support that "Jill appears in the game wearing a blue and black catsuit and has a "control device" on her chest which the player must remove in order to free her from the influence of Wesker", which the source does indeed support. However, three weeks later when I was editing the same paragraph, I accidentally moved the citation to the next sentence, which was about Voth. This was obviously an unintentional mistake on my part.
The Bahrain source was originally used only to say that Voth's likeness has been used "in several other games in the series". . So clearly at some point an editor has changed 'in several other games in the series' to specify which games they were, without checking to see if the source supported that. And at some point, both the sources that had been used as inline citations for Voth's likeness (one of which was placed there incorrectly), were moved to the end of the same sentence. Anyway, just for the record that's what's happened in both cases. Damien Linnane (talk) 01:12, 8 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
