Please change the middle name from the initial "F." to "Finis" to the subjects' full given name. ThreeFoldChord (talk) 16:03, 4 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done: Per the editing note and sourcing, Davis used the initial F., but there is no evidence what his middle name was. Some historians argue that the claim that it was "Finis" originated in Davis's biography by Hudson Strode, who provides no citation. Aoidh (talk) 16:51, 4 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Undid recent edition about Davis visiting John Smith in Scotland

[edit]

The recent addition about Davis visiting an acquaintance in Scotland was deleted. Davis visited many people and met with many people. It is not clear why this particular meeting was more significant in Davis's biography than many of the other people he got to know or stayed with. Wtfiv (talk) 17:48, 13 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Wrong Location Given

[edit]

The following sentence wrongly names and links the location of the meeting Davis had with Breckinridge and Bragg:

"On May 2, Davis met with Secretary of War Breckinridge and Bragg in Abbeville, Georgia, to see if they could pull together an army."

It is actually Abbeville, SOUTH CAROLINA, not Abbeville, Georgia. Smmilli (talk) 00:22, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
