Contradiction tag removed.

[edit]

A contradiction tag was added 01:07, 18 January 2008 137.22.13.130 (talk) (1,908 bytes) (3 names or 1 name?). This is not a contradiction. In the United States, some people have two names, some have 3, and yet others have 4, and we also have Cher who only has the one name. In Mexico and other Latin countries, people can have as many as 10 names. It is not uncommon for different cultures to have different naming conventions even within their own culture. Thanks. About name Slamet

[edit]

I know this may be minor but I think Slamet is not an arabic style Javanese name. It's taken from javanese language 'slamet' (Indonesian language 'selamat') which means 'survived, made it, congrats' and is very common in Javanese.

I am Javanese myself and my uncle's name is Slamet. 118.97.15.20 (talk) 23:48, 11 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Javanese name. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

[edit]

Concerns were raised previously about AI-generated content in this article. This is a procedural talk page section to discuss it. There is no need to ping me in response. Read WP:AISIGNS for more information for why this is tagged; however, note that fixing the issue requires more than just removing the superficial signs. Rationale: this 2025 rewrite; note WP:AISIGNS in promotional tone, vocab distribution typical of 2024-25 LLMs etc Gnomingstuff (talk) 04:18, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
