Ryukyu Aodaishou

In Okinawa (the far south west) lives the "Ryukyu Ao Daishou", aka. "Ryukyu Ao Hebi" or "Oonajaa". Its usually emerald green and grows to 70-90 cm long. ––60.43.39.240 (talk) 23:50, 28 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

I have owned a Japanese rat snake for many years. Very calm disposition, however does not enjoy being held unlike North American Western Black rat snakes. Regardless, still a stunning specimen. Mine is a female who will go off eating for weeks but then back and eat vigorously. Unlike my California King snakes who eat as much as you feed them. Bifnaked (talk) 22:42, 11 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
