Significant Coverage?

[edit]

This artist seems to lack Significant Coverage according to WP:SIGCOV and should be considered for speedy deletion. The article and the first 4 cites are all about the band with very little mention at all about the artist. The last section speaks more of the artist producing music. I'm not a pro at this, but it still seems less that significant coverage standards. There is nothing civil about Civil War.Let's Talk! 07:59, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

This page should not be speedily deleted because Jamie xx is a notable and innovative music producer who is shaping the electronic music of the last couple of years, both as solo act and as part of his band The xx he is composing and remixing many tracks, expanding the dimensions of the electronic music sound and being one of the most important contributors to the emerging post-dubstep genre. Jamie xx is being celebrated by many well known and established music journalists, critics and fellow DJ's from media like the BBC, BBC Radio 1, the Guardian, Fact Magazine, Mixmag, Boiler Room, Carhartt and many others. His single "Far Nearer" was selected Best New Track by the Pitchfork music site on June 6, 2011 --Goschko (talk) 01:04, 1 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

– "xx" is just how the names are styled. The "XX" in their names should technically be capitalized. I apologize if there are any other articles that have lower-case "xx" that I forgot to add, but if so, this request goes for them too. 2601:8C:4001:DCF4:4544:7CE:D190:5ADB (talk) 21:00, 23 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Jamie xx#Discography → Jamie xx discography

Support The discography section is decently long enough for its standalone page. — 🌙Eclipse (talk) (contribs) 17:31, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yes - good idea. Jamie also has lots of production credits for other artists too so this would make a lot of sense. Hwyaden fach (talk) 17:49, 15 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
