Mysterious italics

I notice that this title is italicised when it shouldn't obviously be. I do not see why this may occur as no template such as {{italic title}} at the top of this article, I have also tried finding it in the rest of the article but I could not find anything matching that so I am wondering why the title is italicised for this article because this doesn't fall under a work category associated withMOS:MAJORWORK. Deletion of info box

This edit deleted an infobox. I didn’t insert the infobox, but it seems fine to me, and no reason was given for deleting it. So I support restoring it. It provides useful information in an accessible manner. Anythingyouwant (talk) 23:35, 8 October 2025 (UTC)

I'd added it, and ElijahPepe copied it over to a new article he created, Prosecution of James Comey, and then he deleted it here. Given that he started that other article, my sense is that the Federal indictment section here should be trimmed. It's fine with me if the infobox is added back, but I don't think it's as essential now that the other article exists. FactOrOpinion (talk) 23:45, 8 October 2025 (UTC)

Never indicted

I edited the lead last night and NesserWiki reverted, so coming here to discuss. This is a subtle point, but the lead currently finishes:

In September 2025, Comey was indicted by a federal grand jury on one charge of making false statements and one charge of obstruction. He pleaded not guilty. On November 24, 2025, his charges were dismissed by a federal judge.

However, the judge didn't technically dismiss the chargers. Rather, the judge said the indictment was not valid, ergo it never happened. In the eyes of the law, Comey was not indicted and his charges weren't dismissed because they never existed. If you look at the reliable source reporting, they says the case was dismissed rather than wording it as the charges were dismissed. I suggest we change the final sentence to say "the case against Comey was dismissed" and we change the opening sentence to say "was (invalidly) indicted". Lots of sources go with "case dismissed". In terms of the indictment, the BBC and Guardian, among others, quote the judge saying, "the indictment is void". Bondegezou (talk) 13:30, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
