- Jake Adams (pornographic actor) → Jake Adams (actor)
- Christian Fox (pornographic actor) → Christian Fox (actor)
- Brad Patton (pornographic actor) → Brad Patton (actor)
– Unnecessary disambiguation. If I understand correctly, we don't use "pornographic actor" for disambiguation on Wikipedia unless the person shares their name with a non-pornographic actor. I believe these are the only ones like this. — BarrelProof (talk) 21:00, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- Support, uncontroversial. 162 etc. (talk) 21:13, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose, for me pornographic actors and actors are very different careers (with some overlap here and there).--Ortizesp (talk) 14:12, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- If we take that view, there are lots of articles that should be moved in the other direction. I believe that question was settled by an RfC and some RMs around July 2015, per Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Pornography/Archive 7#Preferred disambiguator: "actor/actress" or "pornographic actor/actress"? The conclusion was summarized as "Don't use 'pornographic' unnecessarily." Two of the other places where discussions were held were later deleted since they were on the Talk pages of articles that were deleted. — BarrelProof (talk) 15:51, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- Do you have any recollection (or pointer to detail) of where those two other discussions were? If they are relevant to the topic at hand, that's a valid reason for at least a temporary undeletion. DMacks (talk) 02:05, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- The ones I was thinking of were Aja (actress) and Chloe (actress). See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aja (actress) and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chloe (actress). There's also a March 2015 discussion at Talk:Savannah (actress). I recall a similar question coming up for wrestlers and professional wrestlers, and I believe the answer came out similarly – concluding that professional wrestlers are simply wrestlers unless further disambiguation is needed. But we do not simplify "American football" to "football", as that is not really a subcategory of a meaningful "football" category of activity, and different subject areas are allowed to have somewhat different naming conventions. — BarrelProof (talk) 05:06, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
