Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is the English translation of the French Wikipedia Page. Jacques Ferrier has created several significant architectural works especially in France and in China. This page is an ongoing work.

If it is a translation of the French Wikipedia, you are required to note that. {{Translated page|fr|Jacques Ferrier|version=##from##|insertversion=##to##}} where number on both pages is replaced by the actual number of the page translated to English and from French. To find the number go to the appropriate entry in the file history. Click on the entry and copy the number that appears on the address bar. For example, if you click on the history for the French Article from 21 May 2015 (not the most recent link) the number would be 115230957 and the number for the last edit on 20 September 2015 (not the most recent link) would be 682001498. Also, please sign your posts with four tildes. SusunW (talk) 16:47, 21 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Article issues

[edit]
This 2015 BLP article survived a withdrawn AFD in 2015. It has only had the two sources, one a "guide" and the other a government listing of several architects that includes the subject. It appears that improvements to Wikipedia run around 10 years behind. Without more sourcing, the article might not survive a full AFD. The "essay" Wikipedia:Avoiding harm includes the section Pseudo-biographies (WP:PSEUDO): That an article should substantially be a full and balanced biography of that person's public life. The BLP policy includes Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Challenged or likely to be challenged (WP:BURDEN). Border-line notability is not a strong case for inclusion.
Lacking any participation I may edit the article to stub class. I might be hamstrung with source location bias, so someone else might be better at providing better sources if available. -- Otr500 (talk) 12:24, 28 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
