Questions of a wondering European

As president Trump has claimed several times that he is going to eradicate groups supporting international terrorism and antisemitism in the US, and at the same time accused other countries of improperly tolerating such groups, I wonder if there is any reason why an American openly supporting terrorist groups like Hizbollah or the Houthis, the last mentioned in fact having been in war with the US, is not criminally persecuted in the US for abettal of terrorism? In view of the fact that quite peaceful left-wing or "woke" groups are regularly being accused by Trump of being dangers to public security, is there any special policy in the US that this mixture of MAGA rhetoric and support for international terrorism is to be tolerated? An explanation in the article about possible behind-the-scenes relations of this subject to protagonists of the MAGA movement or the Trump administration would be appreciated. --2A02:3032:8:132E:FA27:4975:71C7:A1D3 (talk) 20:00, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
