- Support per nomination. English language does not use accents and/or diacritics, other than for borrowed words which are also rendered without such marks. Therefore, it is counterintuitive to transliterate from non-Latin alphabets into English using marks that have no meaning in English. Moreover, a glance at entries under Category:Towns in Yemen or Category:Populated places in Abyan Governorate shows few if any accents or diacritics. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 03:59, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
