Adjunk-hoof van Staf Logistiek

[edit]

The Scientaria article only says he was appointed "Deputy Head" (Na sy dienstermyn as waarnemende Hoof van Staf Inligting, word hy op 1 Julie 1978 Adjunk-hoof van Staf Logistiek.) Without a reference that says otherwise this claim in the article and succession box should be changed or deleted.[1]

John thank you, but look carefully he was C Army S Log, A/CSI, Dep CSL for one month of June and in July he became CSL. Another thing I am writing the CSW/RMS way which says a rank is written in title case only when it precedes a surname. HipNosisG (talk) 14:06, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ok. Point one. Agreed.
Point two. Firstly, CSW is all kinds of stupid and wrong. Secondly, that's ignoring all the other possibilities. If the rank is used as a post, for example "First Lieutenant" of the ship, then it is a proper name and must be capitalised. There are numerous other examples, and the WP:MOS is a little fuzzy on this issue. BoonDock (talk) 16:36, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
