• @Arconning: I appreciate your contributions to destubbing this article and think your proposed hook is really interesting, but is ineligible for DYK as it has not actually been expanded 5x (616 to 2460 is not a five times expansion, it would have to be to 3080 bytes to truly by considered a "five times expansion") :( Icepinner (formerly Imbluey2). @Narutolovehinata5: of course, that's what I meant. Regardless, it still doesn't qualify for DYK under 5x expansion as of present. After talking with some editors off-wiki (and feeling a little guilty seeing how others editors apply extensions to similar nominations), I will allow an extension for this article so that it may meet the 5x requirement for DYK. @Arconning: please expand the article to meet the 5x requirement, and then I'll take another look at it :) Icepinner (formerly Imbluey2). • Checks out most of the DYK criteria (hook is sourced, no copyvios, etc. The claim of Ganthy being part of Cambodia's first Olympic team is complient with WP:DYKDEFINITE). @Arconning: My only concern is the hook itself; it implies that Ganthy was accused of overthrowing the Kingdom of Cambodia. The source says that he was accused of overthrowing the pro-Chinese Khmer (i.e. the Khmer Rouge. Not to mention that it isn't a country as well). Maybe ALT1: ... that Isoup Ganthy, part of Cambodia's first Olympic team, later died in prison after being accused of working to overthrow the Khmer Rouge?

• The issue with the hook has been addressed, the hook itself is sufficiently interesting by combining two unusual aspects of his life, and the superlatives issue with WP:DYKDEFINITE is addressed by the fact that Olympedia verifies that the 1956 games were the first to have Cambodia and that said games were the only one to have Ganthy.
