Date of death and diagnosis of syphilis
[edit]Her death in 1448 and her diagnosis of syphilis are incompatible. One must be incorrect surely? Syphilis arrived in Europe from the America's after 1492. What am I missing? 78.147.108.112 (talk) 10:09, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- What you're missing is that a lot of evidence has emerged that the story that syphilis was introduced to Europe by Columbus's crew is incorrect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syphilis#Origin,_spread_and_discovery 2601:602:C482:CB80:B00E:2A5B:1338:C19C (talk) 06:11, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
