List of participating countries

I agree the list of invited countries may be expanded, but this needs to be done on reasonable ground including sources, especially for the newly added Asian countries. The number of English language sources is limited and I wouldn't consider "Eurovoix" ideal. Elouxas (talk) 09:35, 25 May 2025 (UTC)

If I may make a suggestion, on the Polish wikipedia I have been taking care to update the article on Intervision 2025 for several months now and have been adding references from Russian-language sources to the countries that have been confirmed. Okay, I think i've added all the infos and missing countries with references and qutoes in English for easier verification. I'm not good at writing long English sentences about orgaization (the upper side of the page), so I can't help with that... Eurovision

This is I believe an example of inappropriate categorisation. The "country in the Eurovision Song Contest" categories are meant to categorise articles intrinsically linked to that country's participating in the Eurovision Song Contest, i.e. articles that are actually about their participation history in the contest; as an example of articles which are appropriately categorised for Russia are Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest, Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, and Evrovidenie. While yes there is a link between this edition of Intervision and Russia's exclusion from ESC, in that Intervision is being stood up because among other things Russia was barred from competing in ESC (however this is not the sole reason Intervision is being organised again), that doesn't mean that this article should be categorised with articles about Russia's ESC participation, because they are not linked events. Russia could still organise Intervision if they wanted to even if they were suddenly allowed to take part in ESC again, but there is no crossover organisationally and one does not link with the other. Participation of Azerbaijan and the UAE

Hi, I was just updating an article and this and this post came to my attention. Normally, I would dismiss it as an insignificant rumour, but there is a video attached that actually shows that Azerbaijan and the UAE were not included in the official installation placed in Moscow by the contest organisers. Nevertheless, from what I can see, the organisers have not officially commented on whether these countries have withdrawn from participation, but such a move would seem to indicate that they have (at least I think so?). Because of these issues, I have mixed feelings about whether we should continue to include both countries on the list of confirmed countries or not - if they are regularly excluded in the latest promotional materials (the post also says that both countries are not included in some ‘emoticons of the Intervision channel on Telegram’ (I'm not entirely sure what this means as I'm not on Telegram). In the case of Azerbaijan, there were indeed dicusssions on the internet that they would not participate due to latest political incidents with Russia - even the contest's press office commented on this in July, stating that they had not received any information about their withdrawal as of that time (but the globe in Moscow was not installed until August). When it comes to UAE - they're just totally silent and never commented anything about their participation... Let me know what you think, because I really have no idea how to handle this.

Intervision 2025 is very different to the original.

I don't think that's possible, because the full results (11 points and below) were not shown during the broadcast and they even messed up the voting presentation a few times:

• The UAE and Russia appeared to give the exact same points one after the other; the full scoreboard with partial results that followed immediately after does not seem to corroborate this.
• Same situation for the USA and Tajikistan.
• The votes from Saudi Arabia were erroneously shown as coming from the USA; the USA/Tajikistan vote was then briefly re-shown at the end, with the graphic for Saudi Arabia.

'only the officially announced jurors are included'

After the list of jurors, the article says 'The following list includes only the jurors officially announced by the organisers.' What is the point of this note? Is there any reason to believe that there have been other jurors besides these? The text says 'Each competing country provides one juror', and, AFAICS, the list does indeed contain a juror from each participating country, so it is not the case that the jurors sent by certain countries have not been announced. 62.73.72.101 (talk) 09:02, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
