What is the orientation of the AXIS OF ROTATION (at image left) in the graphic (Inertial Mode in a Sphere)?

[edit]

What is the orientation of the AXIS OF ROTATION (at image left) in the graphic (Inertial Mode in a Sphere)?

I don't know if it is vertical, i.e., N at top / S at bottom... or if the axis runs into/out of the page (would appear as a dot in the image). I believe the former is true, but I'm not sure. Could somebody answer this and update the caption under the graphic with this new info, please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.184.248.6 (talk) 12:55, 6 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
