Tourist Deaths?
[edit]When I was there in December of 1996, I remember being told by my guide that a tourist had once tried to cross the bridge, only to fall to his death. Anybody know anything about this? --Commking (talk) 06:39, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Inspiration of Hergé's secret passage?
[edit]Anyone heard of whether the first of these two - the cliff-face bridge - may have inspired the secret passage through the waterfall in the Tintin adventure Prisoners of the Sun? In the adventure, Tintin and his companions accidentally penetrate into a cave behind the waterfall, a cave tunnel that takes them to the Inca remnant. The Inca hideout looks very much like it could have been inspired by Machu Picchu, and leaving a "blank" in the passage along (or into) a gorge is a solution that reappears in Hergé's waterfall passage.83.254.151.33 (talk) 22:45, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
