It seems like this page should mention precedents for this theory, like institutional economics and in sociology (Bourdieu's "habitus"), etc.

I am sorry, but have you actually read the articles to which Akerlof and Kranton refer? They are all using neoclassical microeconomic cum identity models; indeed, there is nothing macro-economic about them. -Arbraxan (talk) 13:23, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
