I will be adding more information to this medical topic. I will be using secondary sources off of PubMed and from journal articles and literature reviews to collect this information. The term "identity disorder," later called "identity problem," is no longer included in the DSM-5, so in this article I will attempt to discuss some of the history behind this medical term. I will also try and find information on how patients tended to get diagnosed with other conditions after initially being diagnosed with identity disorder.
