Chopin B.150?

[edit]

A piano teacher brought to my attention that the main theme of this song, contrary to what Wikipedia says, is a variation on the first phrase of Chopin's Waltz No. 19 in A minor, B.150. Whereas B.150 is, of course, in A minor and features a 3/4 time signature, I Like Chopin is in D minor and 4/4, with the first four notes being the same, but with a different rhythm, so the fourth note is on the first beat of the bar instead of the second beat.

Thing is the only source I know for that information is a Tiktok video, which I believe doesn't constitute a reliable source (which, by the way, contains an incorrect statement about the song's harmony). OliveiraCris (talk) 00:28, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
