Opening spoken part

[edit]

On the album, the track opens with what sounds like a clip from a film. Or it could be just the band saying something, but if so it is indistinct. Is anyone able to shed any light? Wyddgrug (talk) 01:50, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

According to David Owens' book Cerys, Catatonia and the Rise of Welsh Pop (Random House, 2000), "The sample is from a discussion on bullying lifted from Jenny Jones – an American talk show." This will be referring to The Jenny Jones Show. Bonnietylersave (talk) 01:56, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Well I am hugely impressed by how quickly you came back to me on that one. I'd only been vaguely wondering about this since 1999! Wyddgrug (talk) 02:10, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've added this info to the article, but since we're using a direct quote from that book, can I trouble you to ask for a page reference? Wyddgrug (talk) 02:20, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I found the quote from Google Books, and that digital copy doesn't have page numbers. I do, however, own a hard copy at home – I'll look it up this evening! Bonnietylersave (talk) 12:19, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
It's sorted, the book does have page numbers. Bonnietylersave (talk) 17:11, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
