Components of the equations need to be defined

It looks like much of the information for this page was taken from a textbook. As such, it presumes that the reader is familiar with the meaning and notation of the variables being used in the equations given. That is not likely the case for your average Wikipedia reader, rendering the information useless. Someone familiar with the subject manner should break out the variables and define them individually.
