Unnecessary "Main characters" section?

I'm new to editing Wikipedia, so please pardon me if this discussion isn't in the right style, but I feel like the main characters section of the article seems unnecessary. A lot of other sitcom and British pilot articles don't seem to have dedicated descriptions of each character, especially formatted like how it is currently.
