Restored references to Dyson's dislike of LOTR. This may be urban myth, but they are still perfectly valid - ie the sources exist. The proper course is to add a few lines to the article (with references of your own) - then readers can make up their own minds.Stiltjack (talk) 17:50, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

See Talk:The Lord of the Rings providing evidence that the other version of the quote provided by A.N.Wilson is an urban legend. Sanddune777 (talk) 05:03, 17 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Evidence? the page doesn't seem to exist. Stiltjack (talk) 21:32, 6 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

also, 'lol-ing'? seriously? seems a bit text-age. Betaben (talk) 22:15, 27 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not "LOL-ing"; lolling. Open a dictionary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.217.144.167 (talk) 14:00, 11 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Any family connection between Hugo Dyson and George Dyson/Freeman Dyson?

[edit]

I'm curious to know - and perhaps someone here can say and produce references - if any family connections exist between Hugo Dyson and the family which includes the pianist/composer George Dyson and his son Professor Freeman Dyson (an emeritus member of the Princeton University Institute for Advanced Study), who moved to the United States, became a pillar of the Institute for Defense Analysis JASON group of advanced nuclear weapon and defense technology theorists and a co-creator of Project Orion with Dr. Theodore "Ted" Taylor.loupgarous (talk) 19:44, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
