I work for Hoptroff and have a conflict of interest in editing this article. I am posting here in line with Wikipedia's COI guidelines to request factual corrections and additions that are each supported by independent, reliable third-party sources. I am not requesting any promotional content — only verifiable factual updates. I have listed each change individually with its source below.

== Infobox corrections ==

1. CHANGE — Company name in infobox

The infobox currently lists the company name as 'Hoptroff London'. The company is now universally referred to and trades as simply 'Hoptroff'. This is confirmed across multiple independent sources including GPS World (December 2025) and the US Department of Transportation contract award (July 2024). 3. NOTE — Founders field

The infobox currently lists Tim Richards as a founder. He is the CEO, not a founder, and should be removed from the founders field. I can confirm this as an employee with direct knowledge. With regard to Simon Kenny and David Hulbert, I understand their roles have changed since founding; however I recognise that removing them requires an independent source such as a Companies House filing and I am not requesting their removal at this stage without that evidence. I am flagging this for an independent editor to investigate if they choose.

== Lead paragraph ==

4. CHANGE — Rewrite the lead paragraph

The current lead paragraph describes Hoptroff primarily as a watch manufacturer. This has not been the company's primary business since 2015. The 2015 pivot to timing services is independently confirmed by Telnet Networks (September 2025) and GPS World (December 2025). I suggest the lead be rewritten along these lines (editors should rephrase in their own words):

"Hoptroff (officially Hoptroff London Limited) is a global precision timing company headquartered in London, England. The company provides Traceable Time as a Service (TTaaS) and related timing solutions to enterprises requiring UTC-traceable synchronisation of digital systems. Hoptroff serves organisations in financial services, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and critical infrastructure sectors. Founded in 2010 by Richard Hoptroff, the company originally produced precision watches before pivoting in 2015 to software-based distributed timing infrastructure. Hoptroff holds connections to national timing authorities including the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in the UK, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the US, and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, and holds ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications."

5. REMOVE — Caesium 133 technical description

The paragraph describing the technical operation of Caesium 133 chip-scale atomic clocks (temperature, laser, microwave resonator etc.) is excessive technical detail for a company article. The product described is no longer manufactured. Please remove this paragraph. No replacement text is needed.

6. REMOVE — 'quartz technology still unknown to the public' claim

The sentence 'the technology used in its quartz timepieces is still unknown to the public' is unverifiable and grammatically odd. Please remove it. No replacement needed.

7. REMOVE — HotBlack smartwatch references

All references to the HotBlack smartwatch product range should be removed. This product no longer exists and is not mentioned in any current third-party coverage of the company.

8. REMOVE — Bloomberg 'Watch That Tracks Your Favourite Stock' video reference

This reference is outdated and relates to a product that is no longer manufactured. Please remove it.

9. ADD — US Department of Transportation contract (July 2024)

Suggested text to add to the History section under a heading such as 'Government contracts':"In July 2024, Hoptroff Inc was awarded a contract worth $934,076 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) as part of a $7 million programme to evaluate Complementary Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) technologies.
