Position of the apostrophe

Since the species name honours more than one person named "Holt", shouldn't its vernacular name be "Holts' long-eared bat", with the apostrophe after the S? It's what makes sense grammatically and it's the way mammaldiversity.org writes it. Leptictidium (mt) 10:18, 1 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
