This is someone trying to use the talk page as Google or ChatGPT. Such comments, which spam talk pages literally by the thousands every month, should be deleted per WP:NOTFORUM and not left to junk up the page forever. Gnomingstuff (talk) 19:58, 19 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Section on sexual assault during Holi

[edit]

Should this topic be mentioned somewhere in the article? It has been covered in the academic literature () and popular media () BhamBoi (talk) 05:13, 4 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

I'm currently not in a position to read them all, but is it worse than during other events?
Speederzzz (Talk) (Stalk) 10:53, 4 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Per the first paper: "Leveraging different dates of the celebrations based on the lunar calendar, we document a dramatic increase of over 170% assaults against women during Holi ... Holi exacerbates existing attitudes towards violence against women." BhamBoi (talk) 17:32, 4 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Addition of Reference

[edit]

Good day. I am Dr Yatendra Sharma, the author of the book published by Shri Ram Katha Sansthan, Perth, (2025) namely ‘Mata Simhalika (Holika) Evam Putra Swarbhanu (Rahu Evam Ketu) Pauranik Kathaon Par Adharit Dharmik Katha’.

This is a story book based on intensive research of Sanatan literature on the life history of Holika. I would like to suggest this book as a primary source reference for the section on modern cultural or poetic adaptations of Holika Dahana. I request an independent editor to kindly add this book as a reference.

Citation: Sharma, Dr Yatendra, Shri Ram Katha Sansthan, Perth, Published Year 2025. ISBN: 978-1-7648041-2-7

Could an independent editor please review this and add it if it meets Wikipedia's reliable source criteria for primary devotional literature.
