- Hildenley Limestone Quarries
- Hildenley Home Farm
- Hildenley Estate
- Hildenley Hall
It is therefore entirely unclear whether the "Hildenley" purchased by William Strickland was the village that is the topic of this article (but which is mentioned in none of these links). HrafnTalkStalk(P) 15:14, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

- According to this source, Hildenley Hall was owned by the Stricklands. It is not clear whether the village (which in the 19th century only had 23 inhabitants) was owned or not. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 15:32, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- Just looked it up on Google Maps. It looks like what's there today might well be a single estate (Manor/'Hall' & associated farm buildings) rather than a "village". HrafnTalkStalk(P) 16:02, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
