External link addition — hd2guides.com

Hi all — the current External links section on this article lists the official PlayStation product page plus the Helldivers 2 YouTube channel and X (Twitter) account. Those are all official/first-party channels; there's no third-party community reference for the game's stratagem, weapon-warbond, or Major-Order data — the kind of long, patch-versioned strategic content that Helldivers 2 uniquely accumulates because of its live-service Galactic War storyline.

I'd like to propose adding one curated community-guide hub as a reference resource:

• HD2 Guides — Stratagems, warbonds, Major Order archive, patch-current weapon meta

Why it meets WP:EL guideline #4 ("Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject and cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to copyright issues, amount of detail, or other reasons"):

• Curated database content that goes well beyond what belongs in the article body: full stratagem tables with call-in code, cooldown, and effect data; complete warbond archive with per-weapon damage/handling/recoil stats; and a Major-Order timeline that mirrors the article's own "Galactic war" narrative section.
• Fact-checked against patch numbers cited in this article: the site is explicitly re-verified against each named patch (currently patch 01.003.100 / "Machinery of Oppression" and later), which matches the patch cadence documented in the article's Development section.
• Editorial structure — each guide has a byline date and category (Stratagem / Warbond / Major Order / Meta), rather than user-generated wiki content.
• Not user-editable / not primarily promotional — small editorial site, which is why I'd rather propose it here than add it directly.

WP:ELNO checks it does NOT trigger:

• Not user-generated (unlike Fandom / IGN wiki, which are user-editable).
• No malware / paywalls / login walls / autoplay video.
• Not a mirror / redirect / affiliate site.
• No SEO doorway pages — URL structure is topic-based (/stratagems/…, /warbonds/…, /major-orders/…).
• Not primarily an ad-supported content farm (ad density ≤2 slots per page).

Precedent on comparable articles: The IGN Wiki page for the game's "Machinery of Oppression" patch is already cited in this article's body (www.ign.com/wikis/helldivers-2/…). Comparable live-service shooter articles (Destiny 2, Warframe) each carry at least one curated third-party guide/data external link.

Full disclosure (WP:COI): I'm affiliated with the site and am posting this proposal to the Talk page rather than editing the article directly precisely to avoid the conflict-of-interest issue. Happy to defer entirely to consensus. If a smaller change would be preferred (for example, restricting the link to the Stratagem-table sub-page only, or waiting until the site has broader Google News / press citations), that's fine too.

Thanks for reviewing. ~2026-40652-12 (talk) 12:59, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

Why you eliminated my edit?

Any type of tag that can be added to the article?

I don't know if Wikipedia has any sort of tag that basically says "the plot of this...."media" is still ongoing as of the time of writing, so this article won't always be up-to-date" or something of that kind? If anyone could point me to it so i can put it in the plot section, it would be nice. thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Legitpoodros (talk • contribs) 04:34, 19 September 2026 (UTC)

Update cover image

The image should now be ‘Devoid of Liberty.’ ~2026-52908-44 (talk) 19:36, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
