Source: CBC News - For this, Kendall was given the Royal Red Cross Class 2 medal for her "exceptional act of bravery and devotion at her post of duty." Only 446 of these were given to Canadians.

@MediaKyle: I've been asked by @Dxneo: on my talk page to take a look at this. Most of this looks in order, however there are a couple of phrases that are a bit too close to the source for my liking (see the Earwig report) and I think these could be reworded. (Not bad for a first review though.)--Launchballer 14:02, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

@Launchballer: I was surprised to hear this, but after looking at Earwig I think I see what you mean. I believe I've solved the issue, the other highlighted sentences are basic statements of fact like "studied surgical nursing" and "returned to Canada in 1942", I don't see that as an issue, but let me know if I missed anything. "3,000 Canadian women who served in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps as nursing sisters during the First World War" is the same as the source with the clauses moved around. That's close paraphrasing. I also think "studied surgical nursing at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, graduating" could be reworded at either end.--Launchballer 14:40, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

RRC/ARRC

If Kendall was "Awarded the Royal Red Cross, 2nd Class" then her post nominals should be ARRC ('A' for associate). Nedrutland (talk) 09:02, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
