Improve images
[edit]All the pictures of her have her wearing a helmet while batting and from distance - they could be pictures of anyone. Compare it to the image of, for example, Marcus Harris where he's batting but has his helmet off and is identifiable. MsJoat (talk) 11:40, 18 July 2023 (UTC)

Sacked or Resigned as Captain?
[edit]One source says she was sacked, other sources say she stepped down/resigned. I tried to put EspnCricInfo in but it wouldn't let me. Should we say that Heather Knight was sacked as captain or stepped down/resigned (per source that we will use) as captain? Which one? Vote below: (And don't forget to provide sources yourself)
A Sacked as Captain
B Stepped Down/Resigned as Captain
Note Stepped Down or Resigned will be used depending on the source Servite et contribuere (talk) 12:19, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- Sky Sports News indicates that it wasn't her decision.[1] Being pushed/asked to step down/resign (which is likely the case) is effectively the same as being sacked. Wisden & BBC Sport both say sacked.[2][3]

- Can't we keep it simple? The official letters and interviews seem not to indicate what exactly what happened, so anything it hearsay and unknown sources (or in worse case imagination by journalists). Perhaps we can simply write as soon as the replacement is known "In March 2025 she was followed by xxx yyy as captain of the national team".--Maphry (talk) 11:48, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
- Maphry I was just a bit confused by the way the media was reporting, so I was looking for answers from other editors. Thank you Servite et contribuere (talk) 01:32, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Servite et contribuere The vast weight of coverage says she was sacked/asked to step down/relieved of her position/the ECB decided to go in a new direction. Whatever wording is used it would be utterly disingenuous to suggest she departed the captaincy of her own volition.
