Football?
[edit]Shouldn't there be a mention somewhere that handoff is also a notable play in american football? I dunno where or how (see-also or whatnot), but it seems like people might search Handoff for the football term TheHYPO (talk) 02:27, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Why not "handover" ?
[edit]The article itself mentions that "handover" is the terminology standardised by 3GPP for both GSM and UMTS. Shouldn't "handover" be the canonical term ? I have been in the telecommunication industry in Europe for twelve years and this is the first time I encounter the use of "handoff" instead of "handover". Is "handoff" the standard term in the USA ?
