I added sources like http://miners.b43.co.uk/history.html.--Wipsenade (talk) 20:49, 4 January 2011 (UTC) I attended Hamstead School next to the site 1966-72. In around 1970 I remember the pithead baths building being The Golden Throstle Club, which was the West Bromwich Albion football supporters social club (Throstle is another name for a thrush which was their mascot).
