Where did the letters come from?

[edit]

?why BLAST ... I kinda get "A" and "B" as 1st, 2nd ... but why LS &T? Feldercarb (talk) 14:50, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

I assume just branding. I'm trying to dig up more info, but the city's website is full of dead links. Everything relevant should be on the LRT Council Reports & Documents page. The earliest document I could find so far with mention of BLAST is this one, but it doesn't mention anything about why the name was chosen. I'll keep looking! To close the loop: it appears B-Line and A-Line came first, then the rest of the letters came after. Metrolinx picked up the S- and T-Lines in The Big Move, and the L-Line came last to finish the acronym. JaredTamana (talk) 02:41, 8 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Possible page move candidate?

[edit]

Now that the BLAST network branding is no longer used (due to the additional E-Line corridor), this article may be a candidate for a page move, or we may wish to create a new page for the new system. As it is, however, the branding is incomplete; I assume "(Re)envision the HSR" is a working title rather than the actual name for the system. Can someone with a little more experience lend some advice? JaredTamana (talk) 22:26, 11 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

It appears a new name has been established, HSR Next. I will begin a page move and overhaul. JaredTamana (talk) 13:09, 6 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
