Split HP Tau and GN 04.32.8
[edit]@Abdullah1099, I would suggest splitting out the nebula from this draft as HP Tauri is not the only star system located in the nebula so it might cause confusion as to why the nebula is hosted on this page. Terminology for future reference
[edit]HP Tauri, as far as I can tell, is both the whole system and HP Tau, the singular star. In Cohen and Kuhi (1979), they found several surrounding stars, HP Tau/G1, HP Tau/G2, and HP Tau/G3. HP Tau/G1 is not connected to the rest of the system (though, within the vicinity). HP Tau/G2 and HP Tau/G3 are closely linked and orbiting each other. Also, HP Tau/G3 is a binary system. As of posting this comment, that means there are five stars connected to HP Tauri. I will update this as needed to aid with future research. ✶Quxyz✶ (talk) 03:03, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

- Torres et alia (2009) mentions G1 citing Cohen and Kuhi. I counted G3 as two separate stars as it is a binary star. ✶Quxyz✶ (talk) 11:48, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
