Very confusing between the two

[edit]

The description is mostly written as if there's just one, and it doesn't say which, but I think it's mostly about the Australian one, while the lead photo is of the New Zealand one. Does someone know more and want to help clarify? Dicklyon (talk) 05:34, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

OK, maybe there's just one. I can't find any evidence of their being two. The one at Whitby in the UK and in NZ was the same one on its long tour. Dicklyon (talk) 05:46, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Or maybe this is a new tourist-attraction one at The Endeavour Experience Whitby. But that's not the one that photographed at Whitby in 2000, right? Dicklyon (talk) 05:55, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

OK, found it here. Moved to Whitby in 2018. Still not clear who made it, or when or why... Dicklyon (talk) 06:03, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

You can find the history of the British Replica on the Captain Cook society webste at https://www.captaincooksociety.com/cooks-life/cooks-ships/the-british-endeavour-replica ~~~ CaptainCookFan (talk) 15:32, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Got it. Still don't know who or why, but at least when and where. And does it sail? Has it ever sailed? Doesn't seem to say. Dicklyon (talk) 12:24, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I thought Endeavour was a bark, not a ship.

[edit]

Shouldn't it be "HMB", not "HMS"?
