@Dafootballguy: I believe it's finished. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 17:17, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
@WikiOriginal-9 I'm going top wait for my GA mentor to pass this, but it looks good. In solidarity, Dafootballguy (Want to talk?) 17:18, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
@It is a wonderful world pinging in case you missed this. I'm ready to promote this, did I miss anything? In solidarity, Dafootballguy (Want to talk?) 01:22, 21 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Dafootballguy thanks for pining. I had a look through the article and found no major issues relating to the GA criteria. IAWW (talk) 12:21, 22 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Lead

[edit]

During the 1982 NFL season, he scored what was believed to be the quickest touchdown to ever open an NFL postseason game. A little unclear. Does this mean the fastest speed or least seconds?

Least seconds. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 20:25, 19 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
@WikiOriginal-9 that should be clarified. In solidarity, Dafootballguy [Want to talk?] 20:28, 19 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Early life

[edit]

As a senior in 1977, he rushed 121 times for 703 yards on offense while recording four sacks, two blocked kicks, and one fumble recovery as a linebacker on defense, earning All-Portage County honors at running back.[1] Run-on sentence.

Professional career

[edit]

Ruff was slowed by a knee injury during the 1983 preseason.[2] He was released by the Steelers on August 15, 1983, after the third preseason game.[3] Should be reworded.

Personal life

[edit]

As of 2023, he was a vice president in the Hanes division of Leggett & Platt.[4] update is needed.

That's the most recent source. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 11:54, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
So then put it as As of 2026. In solidarity, Dafootballguy [Want to talk?] 17:08, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
The source is from 2023. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 17:10, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
OK. In solidarity, Dafootballguy (Want to talk?) 17:13, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
@WikiOriginal-9 per his LinkedIn profile, he is still working there. In solidarity, Dafootballguy (Want to talk?) 01:27, 21 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I can't view that. LinkedIn isn't really a reliable source anyway. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 11:51, 21 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
