Pointless statement about "exclusive publisher"

"Grove is also the exclusive United States publisher of the unabridged complete works of the Marquis de Sade."

This is obviously not true, as the Marquis de Sade's works are clearly no longer protected by copyright. So, what Grove might have the rights to is a specific english translation of the works of the Marquis de Sade, which is not really a note-worthy bit of information for an encyclopedic entry. This seems to me to be a pathetic attempt at trying to turn this entry into a catalogue.
