Linear?

It seems the 1st paper used for the def, but in general, a group code is not defined as "linear". For instance in Ron Roth (2006). Introduction to Coding Theory. Cambridge University Press. p. 299. Granted, Roth only defines them as subgroups of $\mathbb {Z} _{q}^{n}$, but he defines a linear group code C a group code over $\mathbb {Z} _{q}$ in which c ∈ C ⇒ a·c ∈ C for every a ∈ Z_q. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.12.85.61 (talk) 05:50, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
