AUGUST 18 LEAKS
[edit]MENTION AUGUST 18 LEAKS IN THE "Leaks" section ~2026-42664-91 (talk) 19:06, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
- see Polygon, VGC Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 19:47, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
- There was a third clip leaked today that is yet to be mentioned in the article. Though I wouldn't mind waiting for the dust to settle first, as there may be other developments. Here for the one billionth edit (talk) 16:13, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- Unless the separate leaks are individually notable, I think it makes sense to combine them under phrasing like several gameplay clips were leaked for now. – Rhain ☔ he

- I think we should look into the possibility of getting a list or table of each of the videos that has leaked, w/ copyright-compliant verifiable sources. DoggyWagWag (talk) 16:19, 24 August 2026 (UTC)
- I couldn't disagree more; that sounds entirely like WP:RECENTISM and WP:INDISCRIMINATE, in my opinion. – Rhain ☔ he
him 20:21, 24 August 2026 (UTC)- Reading the official bounty fugitive standards that does make sense, but this is a heavily current topic. Some sections already regarding leaks (despite having sources that already rely on speculation) are already heavily WP:BALL, so its likely the actual information will need to be filtered out from the rumors. Maybe the officials could specify and may accuse him of a felony to society this can be a serious situation because the leeker is giving threats to give out the game at itch.io for free if they do anything to him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-46168-46 (talk) 16:34, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
- Could you please be more specific? I don't see anything in § Leaks that violates WP:CRYSTAL at all, let alone "heavily". – Rhain ☔ he

Comment from a former Rockstar dev; could be added. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 17:50, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
Mark leaks section as current event.
[edit]Due to the trend of leaks and numerous edit requests for modification to the leaks section, along with the responses from both R*/T2, the leaks section (or article itself) should be marked as a current event. At the bare minimum the talk section should have the edit notice.
Please reply with AGREE/OPPOSE. DoggyWagWag (talk) 22:47, 24 August 2026 (UTC)

- Wikipedia is not a democracy? Sure, that is a written rule but why are comments like this permitted then? DoggyWagWag (talk) 19:06, 14 September 2026 (UTC)

- There have been relatively few edits and even fewer edit requests, so it seems completely unnecessary to me. – Rhain ☔ he
him 22:52, 24 August 2026 (UTC) (edit conflict) - Current event banners are for things such as recent mass casualty events or shootings. A good rule of thumb is that if an event hasn’t had several major updates in the past 5 hours, it no longer counts as a current event. The silence periods between each leak have been longer than 5 hours, so the banner isn’t needed here. OrbitalVoid49 (talk) 18:29, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
- At least your reply was actually useful unlike the two others. thanks. DoggyWagWag (talk) 18:56, 14 September 2026 (UTC)
Assistance in polishing up Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look
[edit]As it stands, the aforementioned article has enough solid content, but it is kind of difficult to follow through. I have made some efforts to polish it up, so I would humbly ask for additional help. JT0219 (talk) 08:51, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
Executive producer?
[edit]Wouldn't it be a good idea to add Sam Houser as an executive producer as well? I see that rob nelson added as a producer so. Founder and current president should be added too ~2026-48814-67 (talk) 15:07, 9 September 2026 (UTC)

Add executive producer as Sam Houser. Krauub (talk) 15:16, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
Not done. It's not clear what changes you want to make (this would likely need a source, too). –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 17:01, 9 September 2026 (UTC)

- Do we have a reliable source that states Sam Houser is an executive producer on this game? We can't just assume based on past credits, even if it's likely true. Prefall 22:50, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
- Sam Houser is the top executive at Rockstar and he's had this credit since the original installment of Grand Theft Auto, so... it would make sense and isn't at all a foreign concept. ~2026-51309-50 (talk) 23:14, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
- Seriously lol. Just read new york times gta 6 article. He is literally number one guy every rockstar game. Not having him on here is just silly. Krauub (talk) 16:32, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
"Romantic"
[edit]Romantic criminal duo - is this accurate, given that it is confirmed romance is optional? I also believe the phrasing is a bit clunky. IPhoneEnthusiast (talk) 10:22, 17 September 2026 (UTC)
Promotion
[edit]I think everything regarding the promotion of the game should be moved into a new section. With new things consistently happening like the Miami city advertising campaign and the album, it doesn’t seem like the stuff related to promotion of the game will fit in the “Release” section once the game actually releases. Albeit I don’t have a crystal ball, but from what we’ve seen it’s pretty substantial already. OrbitalVoid49 (talk) 16:03, 17 September 2026 (UTC)
Additions/Changes
[edit]- Include Michael Unsworth in the "Writers" section, as he has self-credited working on Grand Theft Auto VI, evident by his position as Vice President of Writing until 2023 (well into the games development)
- Add Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games, as an Executive Producer, just as he was on previous titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption, etc. (virtually all preceding titles since).
2 sources: LinkedIn and Rockstar Games' post-credits, respectively.
Aaron Garbut
[edit]There are many artists working on this game, so it is quite disingenous to imply this is the work of a sole "artist", Aaron Garbut.
His credit should be changed to Director of Art, or more simply, just Art Director, as seen in previous titles and even Rockstar's latest, Red Dead Redemption 2.
Source is Rockstar's official credits page. ~2026-51309-50 (talk) 23:19, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
- After looking at multiple Wikipedia pages, this seems to be consistent across all titles. Disregard or consider; its miniscule in hindsight. ~2026-51309-50 (talk) 23:22, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
