Taxobox image replacement

[edit]

Anyone mind if I replace the ichnobox image at some point? The glare can be quite distracting, and I'll be in access of new specimens tomorrow (as well as a hypothetical model we could use...?). Crimsonraptor | (Contact me) Dumpster dive if you must 01:48, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Go ahead! J. Spencer (talk) 03:03, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I've added a title to this thread for formatting purposes. Abyssal (talk) 05:21, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Abyssal. It's the Rutgers Geology Museum, in case anyone was curious. They have a whole trackway of Grallator, so a good one shouldn't be too hard to find :) Crimsonraptor | (Contact me) Dumpster dive if you must 14:32, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I now have two footprint photos, plus the model. Will upload ASAP! Crimsonraptor | (Contact me) Dumpster dive if you must 20:06, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wastebasket

[edit]

Can we at least make mention to the fact that it's obviously a wastebasket [ichno]taxon?142.176.114.76 (talk) 02:07, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ichnotaxa are form taxa, not meant to actually represent a certain species, but a certain type of shape or mark of print. You can't have a wastebasket form taxon. Grallator is not supposed to be the name of an animal, it's supposed to be the name of a certain common footprint shape, which could have been made by any number of animals that happen to have similar feet or modes of walking.
