[edit]Okay, I've pretty much overhauled this page, so that it has a lot more content, but it could definitely use some discussion of the liturgical development of the Gradual, and of post-medieval musical developments. Misplaced example graphic
[edit]The graphic of "Sanctissimus namque" is misplaced here, as it is not a "gradual" piece - it is a free text set to an adaptation of the melody from the Introit of the First Sunday of Advent, 'Ad te levavi'.
