I've gone through and edited the article, removing duplicate bluelinks and improper external inline links. I rewrote a few sentences to make the article more encyclopedic and less like a travel guide. Better sources are needed, since many of the refs are from the government or tourism pages. Pronunciation

Aside from wp:notdictionary and the lack of a source and the fact it's just the American English pronunciation, there's no reason for this. It's covered at the Wiktionary entry; it's a mispronunciation; and it's the default pronunciation Anglophones will come up with anyway from the spelling of the word. — LlywelynII 15:00, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

What's the source of the spelling, anyway? Is it Italian, and if it is, does the z stand for [t͡s] or [d͡z]? Italian Wikipedia gives [dzdz] (i.e. [d͡zː]), but that should be spelt Gozzo (ItWiki calls such spelling antiquato). 195.187.108.4 (talk) 18:02, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

The bus paragraph makes no sense

@User:Ok1122, the bus paragraph already didn't make much sense and you seem to have made it worse with your replacement of the buses still being in use to their having been retired. It currently reads

Although Arriva ceased to operate in Gozo and Malta in January 2014, their old vehicles have been retired since 2016 and most routes remain the same, although there have been some amendments and additions. The most noticeable change at the moment is that the discrepancy between resident and non-resident fares has been abolished with all passengers now paying €2.50 for a 2-hour ticket, although other fares apply for the Tallinja Card holders. However, as from October 2022, riding a bus in both Malta and Gozo has become free for residents of Malta. The Explorer Card is valid for 7-days, costs 35€ and gives you unlimited travel by bus. The user can hop on and off anytime.

There is no previous mention of Arriva, so with the first part of the first sentence it is already unclear what Arriva is or what it has to do with anything. Next, their old vehicles having been retired since 2016 doesn't have an "although" connection with their having ceased to operate, as the only thing that might be contrary to expectations is that, after their owner ceased operations, there was another period of two years during which—during which what? The buses magically operated themselves? And then the rest of the paragraph continues to discuss the current features in comparison with some previous set of conditions about which we haven't been told anything.

I'm not suggesting that you're responsible for everything that's wrong with the paragraph, I think you found it mostly as it is, but since you seem to have an interested in the island's transportation, could you rewrite this paragraph so that it makes sense. I would suggest removing all mention altogether of anything that happened before 2016 because it's irrelevant to bus transportation on Gozo today.
