As investigated elsewhere, it appears that the evidence is building that Gower Ross later played for Brunswick in the VFA,^[1] then joined the Royal Air Force (^[2] and was killed in action^[3] in February 1917.^[4] The dates of birth and death recorded by the AFL are likely to be for his brother, Hubert.
