@BeanieFan11: You've added some pieces from a single small-town paper. Some deal with his high school accomplishments, others with his athletic accomplishments at a small college. None even mention his one-game NFL "career", which is the supposed basis of his notability. Also, GNG reguires SIGCOV from multiple sources which we don't have here. So while your edit summary asserts "clearly notable", I'm just not seeing it. Unless you can find more/better coverage, I don't think this would survive a well=attended AfD.
