Gigwise.com closed in early 2024, and its domain was seized a shady outfit who use AI and fake journalists

The old, music-oriented Gigwise site was reduced to a husk by September 2023; by May 2024 it no longer existed (and was declared a former site by Wikipedia). Then, real shady stuff started happening: Gigwise.com was reactivated and became host to a page headed 'Rear of the Year', before morphing into a buzzword-heavy landing page for some "solutions" firm called Études, and then finally settling into its current gossip site form. Online detectors state that the new site's articles are written by AI. And just look at this photo (the hands, in particular) of their supposed Entertainment Industry Analyst:

Nothing has been posted to the real Gigwise's Twitter or Facebook pages since late 2023. The current site is AI trash and should be clearly delineated from what Gigwise once was. Paulie302 (talk) 06:02, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
