Dewey's age when he went to Norwich

There are multiple places in this Wiki article where it says he was 15 when he began attending Norwich, and the sources cited also give his age as 15. However, he started at Norwich in 1852, and because he was born on Dec. 26, he would have been 14 for all but the last few days of 1852. This Wiki article also says he was at Norwich for two years and left when he was 16.

I don't feel quite comfortable changing his age because I don't have any sources at hand that confirm my suspicion that he was actually only 14 when he went to Norwich. Possibly the year is wrong rather than his age?
