Not to mention (preferably)

[edit]

Rather than list everyone named George, it might be simpler to link to http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AAllPages&from=GeorgeTamfang (talk) 02:16, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

a) In principle, I agree - that's why I (only) added the disambig pages.
b) I agree - that's why it is already there.
(Have a look at George (given name)#See also - "{{lookfrom|George}}" displays as "All pages with titles beginning with George" and expands to "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:PrefixIndex/George".)

Female name?

[edit]

I've come across a handful of instances of George as a female name, which isn't mentioned in the article at all at the moment.

Is this usually a short form of Georgina or similar, or a taking after such pseudonyms as George Eliot? Does anyone here have sufficient knowledge to write a bit about this? -- Smjg (talk) 16:21, 11 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Seems in the Philippines just "George" is a typical female name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hows_of_Us Balupton (talk) 10:05, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
